Richard Edlin has been involved in the marine industry for the past 18 years. He was bought up as a sailor from a young age when his uncle introduced him to sailing keelboats. Richard has also been a competitive yachtsman and has done hundreds of sea miles both sailing and power boating from the age of 11. He has always been interested on the theory behind
sail and motor-yachts. From a young age he had been designing and building
model boats. By the time Richard reached 15 he had decided to learn how to
build boats of varying construction methods to complement his budding design
ability.
At 16 Richard designed and built his first sailboat, the 8
meter harbour and coastal cruiser-racer "MIX T MOTIONS".
At 22 he started his own Business designing and building
pleasure boats to which he still operates.
