Richard Edlin - A Little History

I have been involved in the marine industry for the past  years. I was bought up as a sailor from a young age when my uncle introduced me to sailing keelboats at age 11.

I have been a competitive yachtsman and have done thousands of sea miles both sailing and power boating since. I have always been interested in the theory behind the sail and motor yachts from a young age. I began by designing and building model yachts. By the time I reached 15, I decided to learn how to build boats of varying construction methods to complement my passion for design. At the age of 16, I designed and built my first sailboat, an 8-meter harbour and coastal cruiser-racer, MIX 'T' MOTIONS. At 22 I started my own business, designing and building pleasure boats which developed into Edlin Marine Ltd.

I founded Edlin Marine on the principle of customising to clients' individual needs and producing customer satisfaction results. I can cater to any design, whether it is a work vessel or a luxury cruiser for personal use. Over time we have built up a network of professional support teams to assist in all aspects of the marine industry. I believe that a small team of experienced personnel with a wide range of skills is the best way of achieving the most cost-effective results for our customers. Thank you for spending the time to visit our site and I wish you all many safe and fun-filled hours of boating pleasure.
